TENNIS: Stefanos Tsitsipas has for the first time in his career qualified to the third round of an ATP Tour event, which is set to take him some 14 spots higher in the ATP rankings, to a career-high 108th. On Thursday in Antwerp the 19-year-old Greek advanced past Ivo Karlovic as the 38-year-old Croat withdrew after trailing 7-6, 5-6, due to an ankle injury.
SOCCER: Greece coach Michael Skibbe cannot count on striker Tasos Donis for next month’s World Cup qualification play-offs against Croatia, as the Stuttgart player got injured in his shoulder and must sit out the next five to six weeks.
