Greece center forward Bourousis signs with Panathinaikos
International center forward Yiannis Bourousis signed a two-year contract with Athens club Panathinaikos on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old, 2.15-meter hoopster played with Laboral Kutxa Baskonia in the 2015-2016 season, helping bring the Spanish team into the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball tournament with an average of 14.5 points and a competition-best 8.7 rebounds in 29 games.
The 2.5-million-euro deal includes an NBA out-clause in 2017. Bourousis had reportedly been waiting for an offer from the San Antonio Spurs.
In his carreer he has spent four years at AEK Athens and five at Olympiakos, before playing for Emporio Armani, Real Madrid and Laboral.
