PAOK parts ways with Berbatov
Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov is leaving PAOK after spending one season with the Thessaloniki club, it was announced on Friday.
“Berbatov was on a one-year contract. The player did his best [for the team], however the club has decided not to seek a renewal of his contract,” PAOK president Lubos Michel said in a press conference Friday.
The former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotsput star, who signed with PAOK after he was released from League 1 club Monaco last year, scored 4 goals in 25 appearances this season.
Also on Friday, the club said it had reached an agreement with Vladan Ivic to coach the club for the next three years.
