Tentoglou wins first place at last meeting before Olympic Games

Long jump Olympic gold medalist Miltos Tentoglou won the first place at the “Istvan Gyulai” meeting in Hungary on Tuesday with a jump of 8.23m.

This was Tentoglou’s last event before the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, starting on July 26, where he will attempt to defend the gold medal he won at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021.

Tentoglou started the competition with an incomplete jump, followed by a 7.65m attempt on his second try and 8.18m on his third.

In his fourth jump, the Greek champion recorded 8.23m, followed by 8.03m on his fifth attempt, while he did not perform his sixth jump.
