AEK coach reminds who is team boss
AEK’s coach Dusan Bajevic said yesterday he felt dumbfounded by complaints expressed by a manager representing one of his players, sparked by the Serb-Greek coach’s refusal to field the player in last week’s Champions League game against Roma in Rome. Paschalis Papadopoulos, a manager representing defender Michalis Kassapis, has criticized Bajevic through local media. «Really, this original way of expressing disapproval has never occurred to me before,» the seasoned Bajevic was quoted as telling the club’s website. «Mr Papadopoulos should know that I use whichever player I deem as beneficial for the team,» he added. A team’s collective interest, he continued, outweighed managers’ interest in players, or their clients.
