SPYROS THEOTOKIS: There was an attack yesterday against Greece’s minister of foreign affairs, Mr Spyros Theotokis, which came from an unknown source. The attack, however, was contained in the text of an editorial by the Ethnos newspaper. In this editorial, it was said that before the British had exiled the ethnarch of Cyprus, Archbishop Makarios, to the Seychelles, the ethnarch had recommended to the Greek prime minister, Mr Constantine Karamanlis, not to assign the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Mr Theotokis. The attack in the Ethnos editorial also said that the archbishop had asked that Mr Theotokis have nothing to do with any diplomatic activity pertaining to the Cyprus issue. The prime minister categorically denied the report and called it an attempt to paralyze the struggle that is currently being waged by the Cypriots and Greece. CYPRUS: Nicosia, April 19 – Bombs have been thrown in recent days at British people who are living in the seaport of Famagusta and the city of Nicosia. In addition, shots have been fired at the marines’ base in Stroubi.
