The lessons to remember

Wednesday’s court ruling on Golden Dawn marks the end of a period where the endurance of democracy was tested.

Clearly our institutions are strong. But this should not lead to complacency. Some lessons must remain in the collective memory.

The political system must learn to respond uniformly to the enemies of the state, justice must act faster, and the media must not forget their initial condescension to the threat posed by GD.
