Can a person who is not a politician represent the country?

This suspicion, which was cultivated after the last presidential election in Greece, was based on the assumption that only seasoned politicians can fulfill the duties of the highest public office in the country. 

It is a suspicion that, after the visits of Katerina Sakellaropoulou to the island of Kastellorizo and to Cyprus, has definitely been dispelled.
