Who was the Culture Ministry protecting when it closed the Acropolis at 2 p.m. on Monday and Sunday? The visitors or the staff?
Who knows?
The ministry then went on to reopen the archaeological site from 5 to 8 p.m. – and ditch the admission fee too. Maybe it was hoping to cover up one mistake with another, but this kind of arbitrary decision-making is nothing short of embarrassing.
