The image we project

The recent difficulties emanating from the deterioration of relations between Greece and Turkey merit responsible behavior and self-constraint, and not bombastic language. 

Given the volatility of the present juncture, there is no need for any proliferation of big talk and blowhard assertions from officials or non-officials, which will not help resolve anything. 

Such behavior does nothing to help the country project the image of responsibility and constraint which is required in the face of such difficult circumstances. 

Similarly, it is definitely not becoming of a serious and mature state to have its lawmakers leaking private conversations and the content of confidential meetings for reasons of personal gain and publicity. 

It cannot be emphasized enough that in order to deal with the difficult challenges it is faced with, Greece must exhibit behavior characterized by prudence and determination.
