The message from China
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s official visit to China last week was of crucial importance to Greece, particularly as the Chinese are hoping to forge a closer relationship with Greece and considering even more important investments.
However, like most other major international investors in Greece, they have been shocked by the discrepancies between what is agreed and what ultimately happens, and by the silent war that is waged against any investor reckless enough to put his or her money into this country.
It is only natural that they should be skeptical.
The “guerrilla war” that has been waged against privatizations and investments by certain members of the leftist-led government should be of concern to every rational person and we hope that Tsipras has gotten the message and is planning to do something about stopping it.
