Image must be guarded

Steps must be taken to protect Greece’s tourism sector from the negative effects of the refugee and migrant crisis because if this area were to be negatively impacted by developments, there is a serious risk of the country slipping back into recession and seeing its fiscal performance further derailed.

Everything in the government’s power must be done to avert anything like this from happening and obviously everyone else in the country must also do their bit.
The truth, however, is that the responsibility lies mainly with the administration. The scenes we have witnessed unfolding at the port of Piraeus and at public squares in the center of Athens are already doing a lot of damage to the country’s image as they’re being broadcast by international media.

Such phenomena started to appear over a year ago and the government should have come up with a response by now.
