Government officials who are pragmatic and fully understand how serious the situation is at this point are making considerable efforts to reach concession agreements for certain ports and airports.

They are concentrating their efforts on sealing deals, which would allow the projects to enter the implementation phase and bring in much-needed revenue.
Meanwhile, governing SYRIZA’s “deep state” will no doubt put up a rearguard struggle aimed at sabotaging the deals.

Everything will depend on whether Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras sends out a signal displaying decisiveness or whether he allows an uncontrolled battle to take place behind the scenes.
