About this blog
Peripheral Vision is a joint effort by economists, political scientists, and other social scientists to explain, inform, disaggregate, theorize, and speculate about political and economic events unfolding in Greece and Europe. We believe that joining our voices to tackle misinformation and misinterpretation from disparate intellectual and policy circles will lead to great synergies.
This academic research-based blog will comprise regular posts by a core group of contributors complemented by solicited and unsolicited guest posts. As social science scholars, we favor open, unabridged debate on a range of issues, as long as it consists of positivistic, research-based, and ideology-free commentaries on current affairs and policy debates in Greece, Europe, and beyond. Through this process we aspire to make a positive and constructive contribution to the wider public discourse on the future of Greece and European integration.
All types of comments, ideas, and even posts are most welcome and strongly encouraged.
