The danger of another gap

The development of private education further intensifies the need to upgrade free education.

The Greek public school functioned for the first post-war decades as a vehicle of social mobility. It needs to find that role again, before another gap of inequality opens up between families who can (by scraping and saving) pay for better services and those who can’t afford the ever-increasing school fees.
