Not just real estate

More than half of foreign direct investment in Greece was channeled into real estate in the first half of the current year, according to data from the country’s central bank. 

This continues a trend that, apart from its serious social side effects, in terms of housing costs, also shows a structural weakness: Greece’s difficulty in attracting productive investments that will create jobs.

A change of strategy is needed.
