Turkey and the West

The tolerance with which Turkey is treated by the United States and other Western countries is striking.

Turkey is indeed an important force to be reckoned with; however, it constantly shows, with its words and actions, that it diverges from the Western “camp” in crucial matters. 

This is a fact that worries every other allied country that makes sure it fulfills its obligations.
