Beneficial strategy

The Turkish president’s visit to Athens confirmed that bilateral relations can stay on the course forged around 10 months ago.

The past few months have shown that calm seas are mutually beneficial, even when this does not translate into a desire to tackle the long-standing differences between the two countries.

The Greek strategy of coexisting without agreeing is already bearing fruit, not just in terms of averting tension, but also in areas such as controlling migrant flows.
