All the meteorological data are telling us that the extreme weather events of this summer were, unfortunately, not the exception. This means that the country needs to start organizing its defenses against climate change fast and methodically. 

Everything from its infrastructure and agriculture to building regulations and tourism needs to be redesigned from scratch to withstand its effects.
