‘Routine’ crime

“Turf war” may describe the cause of a crime, but in no way does it justify or downplay how serious it is.

Too many murders and attacks that are obviously linked to organized crime networks have gone unsolved in Greece. 

The longer the perpetrators of these crimes – regardless of whether they are local or foreign – remain unpunished, the stronger the sense that such incidents are “routine.”
