The arrests of hooligan groups show that, so far, the state has indeed been shaken up by the murder of Alkis Kambanos in Thessaloniki last month.

The veil of immunity that covered these well-known crime networks must finally be torn away.

The authorities are moving in the right direction. The effort must continue until the end.
