The economy is at a very critical stage of recovery after the hit it took from the pandemic. 

It is doubly harmful to cultivate, vaguely and through leaks, expectations of benefits and tax cuts. 

This shakes market confidence, which sees the risk of fiscal easing, while the climate in society is poisoned when expectations are crushed.
