False prophets

A week has passed since pupils returned to classes but the noisy scaremongering against the decision to open schools following the winter break has yet to dissipate. 

So what was the point of all that cacophony? Did the prophets of doom score any political points thanks to it? It certainly did not stop the teachers, the schoolchildren and their parents who proved that where there is collective will, the virus will not be an obstacle to our shared everyday life.
