A second pillar

The government has acknowledged that the introduction of a single threshold for university entry – a necessary measure – will leave thousands of candidates out of tertiary education.

Policy makers must make sure that failed candidates find a way to technical colleges instead. 

Remapping university education must involve the creation of a second pillar for senior high school leavers which will be directly tied to the real needs of the Greek labor market.
