A fire broke out Tuesday evening in Pedion tou Areos, one of Athens’ largest public parks.
The fire, near Alexandras Avenue, may have been sparked by a flare, according to witnesses.
The fire service reported that the fire was quickly contained. Police also responded at the scene.
