Wildfire in Rhodes brought under partial control

A wildfire that broke out earlier on Tuesday in the Lindos area of Rhodes island has been brought under partial control, the fire service announced. 

The fire had been burning low vegetation, while local residents received a 112 message to be on alert. 

According to the fire department, 25 firefighters with six vehicles were dispatched to the scene. In addition, three helicopters and one airplane assisted from the air.
