Thessaloniki fire under control

A wildfire that broke out on Friday near Lagkadas in the northern port city of Thessaloniki is now partially under control. 

The fire, which is burning low vegetation, still requires the attention of ground crews. 

A total of 20 firefighters and eight fire engines are working to extinguish the fire. An aerial firefighting helicopter has also been providing aerial assistance. No residential areas were threatened by the fire.
