Fire breaks out in Aspropyrgos

A fire broke out on Wednesday morning in the Lakka Kyrillou area of Aspropyrgos, west of Athens.

The blaze, which is spreading through scrubland, is being fought by 36 firefighters with nine fire engines. They are supported by two water-dropping aircraft and one helicopter. Several volunteers have also joined the efforts.
