Fire breaks out at Hydra garbage site

A wildfire broke out at a garbage disposal site on the Saronic island of Hydra.

Six firefighters and municipal units are at the scene along with a water dropping helicopter.

This is the second fire that erupts on the island after a blaze, believed to have been triggered by fireworks, broke out on June 21 devouring nearly 300,000 square metres of Hydra’s pine forest before fire fighters doused the flames early on Saturday.
