ALBA

Based in the seaside town of Vouliagmeni, in Athens, ALBA Graduate Business School is an established European educational organization that offers graduate studies in business administration. Founded in 1992, it is a non-state, not-for-profit, research-driven institution. The School maintains very close links with the industry, as it operates under the auspices of the Federation of Greek Industries, the Hellenic Management Association, and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, ALBA Graduate Business School is an association of corporations, currently numbering 80 corporate members. The School’s resident and visiting faculty is drawn from established business schools around the world and is composed of leading, widely published academics and practitioners with extensive teaching, research and consulting experience. In March 2007 all MBA programs offered by ALBA Graduate Business School were accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). This accreditation positioned ALBA among a select group of accredited business schools at global level. ALBA Graduate Business School strives for excellence, quality and continuous innovation in research and teaching. Its international outlook and reach are reflected in its faculty and students, as well as in regular alliances with leading business schools worldwide. The School regularly collaborates with international institutions for the organization of surveys and competitions in Greece (e.g. Best Workplaces Competition), as well as for executive development programs. ALBA organizes and hosts a large number of international academic conferences annually. Over 90% of full-time graduates are hired by leading companies in Greece or abroad within three months of graduation; over 67% of Professional MBA program graduates report a salary increase of 30% on average. The Greek industry participates enthusiastically at every ALBA Career Forum. ALBA regularly establishes scholarship programs for eligible Greek and international students in collaboration with organizations and associations (e.g. WISTA Hellas, The Times newspaper, TITAN SA, Novo Nordisk SA).
