The ‘Atlas’ oil rig floats off the coast of Thasos yesterday. Greek oil company Kavala Oil, which is drilling off the northern Aegean island, has discovered a new, good-quality oil field at a depth of 3,125 meters, according to a report yesterday by the Athens News Agency. Tests are under way to determine whether the field is commercially exploitable.
