Doing our best to make citizens safe
Giving people in our town a feeling of security is high on our list of priorities. Although local government, for better or worse, cannot take the place of the state, it cannot stand by and do nothing about crime. We have long been asking for more officers in the local police station and security department. At the same time, we have adopted a number of activities with specific initiatives so that we can prove ourselves to be useful and effective. Extending and improving municipal lighting, setting up a local council for crime prevention, including economic immigrants in the town’s social life, support for voluntary work and guarding the town with the use of private security firms on vehicle patrols at night are among the first things we should do to deter crime.
