Christodoulos turns his sights on trash TV
Greeks should switch off their televisions to avoid seeing the «sordid» reality TV shows offered by private stations, the head of the Church of Greece urged on Sunday. «It would be quite understandable if the entire population were to revolt and demand an end to all this,» Archbishop Christodoulos said when addressing a congregation in the Athens district of Zografou. The church leader was referring to Mega TV’s «Bar» and Antenna TV’s «Big Brother» programs, both of which involve groups of young adults living – or working – in a severely restricted area with their every movement recorded for TV audiences.
