Truckdriver shot in roadside restaurant

A truckdriver was hospitalized with a gunshot wound on Saturday after an Albanian who had been thrown out of a roadside restaurant in Epirus for allegedly harassing a client returned with an assault rifle to get his revenge. Nikos Kotsalos, 42, who had stopped for a meal at the pizza restaurant in the village of Pedini, near the northwestern town of Ioannina, was in stable condition yesterday after being shot in the leg by Adriat Sela, 30. Reports said Sela got into a fight with other customers after making suggestive remarks to a woman in the restaurant. He went home, to return with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two ammunition clips and a knife, and opened fire. Sela was eventually disarmed by restaurant patrons, who proceeded to beat him up.
