Series of quakes rattle Crete, no injuries reported
Greece’s island of Crete was shaken by a series of earthquakes in the early hours of Monday.
The quakes were centered in a sea area about 50 kilometers north of the town of Sitia in Lasithi regional unit.
The largest was magnitude 5.2 at 7.11 a.m., according to the National Observatory of Athens’ Geodynamic Institute.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
