PM says GD verdict a victory for democracy

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has welcomed the overwhelming conviction against Golden Dawn, describing it as “proof of the power projected by the parliamentary system and the separation of powers.”
“Democracy won today. It is up to us that it wins every day,” he said.
After a trial that lasted more than five years, the leadership of Greece’s neo-Nazi party was on Wednesday convicted of running a criminal organization.
