Police evacuate two squats in central Athens

Police officers on Friday evacuated two squats in the Athenian district of Exarchia, founding helmets, fire extinguishers, flyers and sticks, state-run news agency ANA reported.

The buildings on 52 and 56 Dervenion Street had been occupied since 2015.

No squatters were found inside during the raid, according to ANA.

Authorities will proceed to seal both buildings.
