Firefighters tackle basement blaze in central Athens

Firemen were called in to tackle a blaze at a warehouse in Metaxourgio in central Athens on Friday morning.

A crew of 15 fire fighters responded to the blaze on the basement property in Deligiorgi Street at around 10 a.m., which was located at the basement.

The fire was contained shortly after 1 p.m. There was no information of any trapped people in the building.
