President Pavlopoulos hospitalized with high fever
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos was admitted to the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center on Friday with high fever, the presidency said in a press release.
Pavlopoulos has been suffering from a virus infection and had cancelled all of his engagements for Friday, the statement said.
According to hospital sources cited by state-run news agency ANA-MPA, the president will stay in hospital overnight in order to also carry out a regular annual medical check up.
Doctors are running tests to determine his treatment.
