KETHEA to hold protest concert in Syntagma
Greece’s largest rehabilitation and social reintegration network for people with drug and other addictions, KETHEA, has organized a rally and concert in Athens on Wednesday night to protest a government decision to appoint the organization’s board, which has been an elected body up to now.
KETHEA says the decision endangers its independence.
The concert will take place in front of Parliament in Syntagma Square, starting at 6.30 p.m.
With A-list musicians signed up to perform, the event is expected to attract a crowd – and cause traffic problems in downtown Athens.
