Corfu father said to admit killing daughter, 29
A 52-year-old Corfu man has allegedly confessed to killing his 29-year-old daughter who was found buried in a plot behind her father’s house in Alepou, a suburb of the Ionian island’s capital, state-run news agency ANA-MPA and local media reported Thursday.
Police launched an investigation after the woman’s partner alerted the authorities to her disappearance on Tuesday.
According to Skai TV, the 52-year-old ethnic Greek from Albania disapproved of his daughter partner, an Afghan refugee. Local reports said that the relationship was the cause of frequent arguments between father and daughter.
Forensic evidence suggested that the victim was stabbed several times with a sharp object.
