Body with gunshot wounds found in Athens

Police in Athens have launched a criminal investigation after a man’s body was found with a bullet wound to the head in the city centre.

The body of the man, who was later identified as a 36-year-old Albanian national, was found at 12.30 a.m on Makris Street in Kypseli.
