NATO invitation to FYROM cannot be recalled, says ND official
The invitation extended to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) by the member-states of NATO cannot be recalled, New Democracy’s shadow foreign minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos said on Thursday, speaking at TV station Skai.
Koumoutsakos said the invitation will start a series of procedures, some of which technical, which will produce “specific results.”
The ND official also described the government’s decision to expel two Russian diplomats and refuse entry into the country to two more Russian nationals as “serious,” noting his party will present its view on the matter as soon as it receives an official briefing by the government.
He said, however, that in cases such as these, reaction must be decisive and stern.
