Athens police bust major burglary ring

Police in Athens have arrested five suspected members of an active criminal racket, aged 17 to 31, believed to be behind 72 burglaries in the capital’s northern and southern suburbs.

The group is believed to have netted some 400,000 euros worth of valuables in its raids, many of which involved its members scaling the exterior of apartment blocks.
