Athens police seek thieves who blew open ATM in Papagou
Unidentified assailants used a homemade explosive device to blow open a bank ATM machine in the Athens suburb of Papagou in the early hours of Monday morning.
The thieves made off with an unspecified sum from the National Bank ATM, according to police who were examining closed circuit television footage from the area for clues about their identity.
The blast damaged the ATM, which was on the façade of an insurance office, but caused no injuries.
