Syntagma metro station closed for visit of Israeli president
Syntagma metro station in central Athens will be closed on Monday morning for security reasons as Israeli President Reuven Rivlin conducts an official visit to Greece.
Trains will not be stopping at Syntagma station which was to reopen on the orders of the Greek Police.
After laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier outside Parliament, Rivlin was to meet with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos and then with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
On Tuesday, Rivlin is to travel with Tsipras to Thessaloniki where they are to visit the Holocaust Museum.
