Policeman kills daughter, wife and mother-in-law, then self
A policeman has reportedly shot and killed his daughter, his wife and his mother-in-law before taking his own life in the northern Athens suburb of Aghii Anargyri.
The child was three-and-a-half years old, according to initial reports.
With an official announcement from the Hellenic Police (ELAS) still pending, it appears that the officer, aged around 40 years old, used his service revolver.
He was reportedly a guard at Parliament in downtown Athens, though he had been transferred to the security detail of an unnamed politician.
The murder-suicide was discovered by relatives who visited the house on Evripidou Street after being unable to reach the family by telephone.
