Showers and some snow expected over weekend
Strong showers and storms are expected in western Greece on Saturday, spreading to the east on Sunday, along with snowfall in northwestern parts, the national weather service warned on Friday.
The wet front will hit western Greece on Saturday afternoon and bring downpours and storms that will last through Sunday morning. A drop in temperatures will also result in snowfall in Epirus and Western Macedonia.
On Sunday, eastern Macedonia, the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, and the Dodecanese area should brace for its share of strong rain and high winds.
