Homemade bomb damages anarchist hangout

Police were seeking the perpetrators behind a gas canister bomb attack on an anarchist hangout in the neighborhood of Aghios Panteleimonas, near central Athens, in the early hours of Wednesday.

The unidentified assailants used a homemade explosive device comprising two gas canisters, which detonated outside the hangout known as “Distomo” at 3.20 a.m., causing damage to the building’s facade.

No injuries were reported.
