Convicted terrorists refuse medical help, continue hunger strike
Hunger-striking convicted ringleaders of the Revolutionary Struggle urban guerrilla group, Nikos Maziotis and Pola Roupa, have refused hospital treatment, it emerged on Monday, the 23rd day they refused food.
The pair are protesting the alleged violation of an agreement that they be allowed to communicate with their child and their lawyers without hindrance.
According to an anti-establishment website, Roupa is suffering from very low blood sugar and is particularly at risk.
She was arrested in January after five years on the run. Maziotis was caught in the summer of 2016 following a shootout with police in central Athens.
